The Browns finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a C+.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Patrick Payton in Round 5, Pick 8, a good 74 spots before the room expected him. The final tally is a middling C+.

Garrett Nussmeier gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The Wilson III pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

If Garrett Nussmeier and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
