The Browns drew a line under the quarterback search with Mendoza: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Browns spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Kearney pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Harris pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
