Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureF
The Browns finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jake Majors, pick No. 178, roughly 85 picks past where he belonged. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They are betting Griffith proves the room right and everyone else wrong. So much rides on Shedeur Sanders that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Shedeur Sanders. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick33 Rnd2 Omarion Hampton
A slide stopped in the 33rd overall pick, with Omarion Hampton worth more than the price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick34 Rnd2 T.J. Sanders
T.J. Sanders at the 34th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick65 Rnd3 Trey Amos
A tidy bit of business in the 65th overall pick, where Trey Amos graded well above the range. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jihaad Campbell
Circle this one: Jihaad Campbell at pick 67 is a fall that decides a draft. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick93 Rnd3 Tez Johnson
They took Tez Johnson at par in No. 93, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick103 Rnd4 Luke Kandra
Luke Kandra in pick No. 103 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Pick178 Rnd6 Jake Majors
They robbed the room for Jake Majors here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick203 Rnd6 Thor Griffith
Thor Griffith at the Round 6 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It fills a real need, too.
Pick214 Rnd6 Jalen Travis
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jalen Travis. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick215 Rnd6 Max Brosmer
They reached into another round for Max Brosmer, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser in pick 245 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick256 Rnd7 Deion Burks
No drama and no debate, Deion Burks went about where he belonged in No. 256. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
