Lawson should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a C-.

The Browns spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Deontae Lawson, the No. 51 name on the board, in No. 142. A weekend of give and take that grades a C-.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. The veteran additions, Tristan Wirfs chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

If Ashton Jeanty and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Taking Tre Harris in slot 106 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
