Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesC+ FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Sellers in the fold, and a B- for the Browns.

The search is over. The Browns handed the keys to LaNorris Sellers, and the whole operation now runs on his development. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Goosby pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Spencer Fano
In pick 6 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick19 Rnd1 LaNorris Sellers
They did well to land LaNorris Sellers in Round 1, Pick 19, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick39 Rnd2 Kayden McDonald
A tidy little value on Kayden McDonald in the 39th overall pick, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick70 Rnd3 Trevor Goosby
A quiet steal in slot 70: Trevor Goosby for less than the market said. The roster fit checks out.
Pick107 Rnd4 Justice Haynes
Justice Haynes in the Round 4 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It fills a real need, too.
Pick146 Rnd5 Chase Roberts
Chase Roberts in pick No. 146 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick149 Rnd5 Sammy Omosigho
Sammy Omosigho in No. 149 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick204 Rnd6 Jaren Kanak
Jaren Kanak at the 204th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick241 Rnd7 Diego Pavia
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Diego Pavia. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick246 Rnd7 Smith Snowden
No drama and no debate, Smith Snowden went about where he belonged in Round 7, Pick 31. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
