Draft Grade — Browns

FutureB-
Hubbard should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a B-. The Browns spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Bray Hubbard, the No. 140 name on the board, in pick No. 204. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Baker has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get a No. 1 receiver, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick27
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
In pick 27 they get protection for the quarterback, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick40
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
No drama and no debate, Olaivavega Ioane went about where he belonged in the 40th pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick71
Rnd3
Chris Brazzell II
Chris Brazzell II in pick No. 71 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick106
Rnd4
Chase Bisontis
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Chase Bisontis. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick141
Rnd5
Iapani Laloulu
Iapani Laloulu in the 141st overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick145
Rnd5
Jacob Rodriguez
A wild overpay on Jacob Rodriguez in slot 145, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick150
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at No. 150 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick204
Rnd6
Bray Hubbard
Bray Hubbard at pick 204 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
Pick244
Rnd7
Tosh Baker
Tosh Baker at the 244th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
