The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Browns reached some 86 spots for Akheem Mesidor, and value like that does not grow back. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The Wilson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. With safety unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
