Skattebo should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a B-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Cam Skattebo had no business being available in pick 181, and the Browns did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The Howard pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The J.K. Dobbins deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Taking Tyler Warren in the Round 2 slot is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

They robbed the room for Jihaad Campbell here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.

This one needs a full-page explanation: Will Howard in slot 94, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

They talked themselves into Rylie Mills at pick 103, and the board did not agree. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Quincy Riley. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Steal is underselling it; Cam Skattebo at the 181st pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It fills a real need, too.
