The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Browns watched Dillon Gabriel slide 84 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. The Brooks pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
