Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesB+ FutureB+
The Browns let Harris fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Browns were there to profit. Tre Harris, the No. 48 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 6 slot. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

The cost of the Howard reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In the 3rd overall pick they get a premier pass rusher at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick33 Rnd2 Ashton Jeanty
Ashton Jeanty in Round 2, Pick 1 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
Pick34 Rnd2 Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart at pick 34 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jahdae Barron
Jahdae Barron in slot 67 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick94 Rnd3 Walter Nolen
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Walter Nolen in No. 94, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick103 Rnd4 Will Howard
They reached into another round for Will Howard, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick134 Rnd4 Wyatt Milum
They will replay Wyatt Milum at the 134th pick for years; that is how good the value is. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick165 Rnd5 Dylan Fairchild
Steal is underselling it; Dylan Fairchild at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick184 Rnd6 Jake Majors
A offensive lineman of that caliber at pick 184 is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick194 Rnd6 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in No. 194 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
Pick202 Rnd6 Trey Amos
Trey Amos at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick216 Rnd6 Tre Harris
They robbed the room for Tre Harris here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick217 Rnd7 Quinshon Judkins
Taking Quinshon Judkins in pick No. 217 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick223 Rnd7 Alfred Collins
Somehow Alfred Collins was still sitting there in Round 7, Pick 7, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. A need, and now a little less of one.
