Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB FutureB-
The Broncos robbed the room for Royals. Final grade: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Jalen Royals had no business being available in the 85th pick, and the Broncos did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will need Mastromanno to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Tight end is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In the 20th pick they get a seam-stretching tight end. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick58 Rnd2 Kaleb Johnson
Kaleb Johnson at slot 58 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick85 Rnd3 Jalen Royals
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Jalen Royals in the 85th overall pick, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick89 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Nothing to complain about; Andrew Mukuba went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick122 Rnd4 Tory Horton
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tory Horton at No. 122 is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick191 Rnd6 Ajani Cornelius
A quiet steal in Round 6, Pick 15: Ajani Cornelius for less than the market said. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick197 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
Jaylen Reed at pick No. 197 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick208 Rnd6 Alex Mastromanno
Alex Mastromanno in the Round 6 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
