They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Isaiah Davis, 51 picks early at the 242nd overall pick. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. The Broncos indulged a want in DeJean while a need in linebacker, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

The McMillan steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
