Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesC FutureA
More right than wrong for the Broncos, and a B to prove it.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Broncos did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to linebacker, which was the need that mattered most.

King at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The Leo Chenal deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick62 Rnd2 Antonio Williams
Antonio Williams at Round 2, Pick 30 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It fills a real need, too.
Pick94 Rnd3 Joe Royer
A straight-up fair deal on Joe Royer at the 94th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick108 Rnd4 Caden Curry
Fair-plus on Caden Curry, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick130 Rnd4 Skyler Gill-Howard
Skyler Gill-Howard in pick 130 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick168 Rnd5 Rayshaun Benny
Rayshaun Benny at the Round 5 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick246 Rnd7 Alex Harkey
They took Alex Harkey at par in pick No. 246, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick251 Rnd7 Colbie Young
They paid sticker price for Colbie Young in the 251st pick, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick255 Rnd7 Haynes King
Haynes King slipping to No. 255 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
