Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall

FutureB-
The Broncos got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D. The phones were a trap the Broncos kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. It grades a D, and the process earned it.
The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Mills to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Adding Vita Vea by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
In slot 3 they get a disruptor off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick10
Rnd1
Kelvin Banks Jr.
In No. 10 they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick67
Rnd3
Jordan Hancock
Nothing to complain about; Jordan Hancock went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick99
Rnd4
Rylie Mills
Rylie Mills at the 99th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick106
Rnd4
Tyler Warren
They liked Tyler Warren enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 106. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick163
Rnd6
Alfred Collins
A reach on Alfred Collins in Round 6, Pick 3; the board had better options right there. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
