Mondon Jr. should have been long gone. The Broncos pounced, and earned a B.

The Broncos did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Smael Mondon Jr. fell into No. 195. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The cost of the Ritzie reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
