The steal of the weekend belongs to the Broncos and James: D. The Broncos did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jordan James fell into the 185th overall pick. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
They will need Green to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Broncos paired the rookies with proven help, Braxton Jones leading the way.
