Draft Grade — Saints
Overall

FutureB
The Saints robbed the room for Warren. Final grade: B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tyler Warren, the No. 14 name on the board, stolen at the 40th pick.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Will Campbell
In the 12th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick40
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
They will replay Tyler Warren at pick 40 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick71
Rnd3
Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins at pick No. 71 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick76
Rnd3
Kyle Kennard
Kyle Kennard at No. 76 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick93
Rnd3
Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson in the 93rd overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick111
Rnd4
Savion Williams
A slide stopped in Round 4, Pick 10, with Savion Williams worth more than the price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick130
Rnd4
Joshua Farmer
Good price on Joshua Farmer in the Round 4 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
