The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Cordell Volson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
