The Saints ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Reaching for Oladejo left real value on the table behind him. Getting Walker where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Jalen Carter gives the group a proven body among the projects.
