Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Bills: B.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bills walked out of the weekend still thin at safety, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.

That Tuten pick is the receipt they will wave around later. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with linebacker the one that mattered most.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Jalon Walker
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 1 slot with a little surplus value in Jalon Walker. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick56 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins at pick 56 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
They took Maxwell Hairston at par in Round 2, Pick 30, which is nothing to complain about. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick109 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
By-the-book stuff, Joshua Farmer at No. 109 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick132 Rnd4 Kyle Williams
They did well to land Kyle Williams in the 132nd overall pick, just ahead of his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick169 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
A slide stopped in slot 169, with Bhayshul Tuten worth more than the price. The roster fit checks out.
Pick170 Rnd5 Seth McLaughlin
Seth McLaughlin at pick No. 170 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick173 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
Tommi Hill slid further than he should have, and the 173rd pick is lovely value for the cornerback. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick177 Rnd6 Jaydon Blue
Jaydon Blue in No. 177 is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick206 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins in the 206th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
