Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
A franchise passer in Williams headlines a B weekend for the Falcons.

The Falcons spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

Reaching for Sundell left real value on the table behind him. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
In slot 8 they get their quarterback of the future. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy in pick 43 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick74 Rnd3 Johnny Wilson
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Johnny Wilson. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick110 Rnd4 Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Jarvis Brownlee Jr. at the 110th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick142 Rnd5 Logan Lee
They paid a round early for Logan Lee in the 142nd pick, more than the board wanted. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick189 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
Jaylen Harrell at the Round 6 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick201 Rnd6 Gabe Hall
A conviction pick on Gabe Hall at Round 6, Pick 26 that the board grades a round light. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick241 Rnd7 Jalen Sundell
A real head-scratcher, Jalen Sundell in pick No. 241 is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
