Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

A respectable, level-headed haul for the Bills: B. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bills walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.
That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Wright has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with linebacker the one that mattered most. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Sonny Styles
In the Round 1 slot they get the heartbeat of the defense. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60
Rnd2
Elijah Sarratt
Elijah Sarratt is a better player than Round 2, Pick 28 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick91
Rnd3
Julian Neal
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Julian Neal at pick 91. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick126
Rnd4
Jakobe Thomas
No drama and no debate, Jakobe Thomas went about where he belonged in pick No. 126. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick205
Rnd6
Jeremiah Wright
They jumped the gun on Jeremiah Wright, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick220
Rnd7
Zxavian Harris
Zxavian Harris at slot 220 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick228
Rnd7
Jeff Caldwell
Fair-plus on Jeff Caldwell, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
