Draft Grade — Browns
Overall C
ValueC NeedB+ TradesD+ FutureC
The Browns land in the muddy middle: C.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Shilo Sanders, 91 picks early at slot 200.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

If Travis Hunter and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
In the 2nd pick they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Kaleb Johnson
A premium they did not need to pay, Kaleb Johnson a notch or two before his time. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick41 Rnd2 Cameron Williams
A real head-scratcher, Cameron Williams in slot 41 is miles ahead of his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick67 Rnd3 Kyle Williams
Value said wait; Kyle Williams in Round 3, Pick 3 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick104 Rnd4 Dillon Gabriel
This one needs a full-page explanation: Dillon Gabriel in pick 104, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick192 Rnd6 Kitan Crawford
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Kitan Crawford. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick200 Rnd6 Shilo Sanders
Shilo Sanders at pick No. 200 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick216 Rnd6 Donovan Edwards
Nothing to complain about; Donovan Edwards went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick255 Rnd7 Warren Brinson
They left a pile of value on the table to take Warren Brinson this early at the 255th overall pick. It fills a real need, too.
