Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
The Seahawks worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-.

The Seahawks ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The Horsley reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. On value alone, Warren makes the weekend a net positive.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Bottom line, with Tyler Warren leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In the Round 1 slot they get a seam-stretching tight end at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick50 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 50 with a little surplus value in Xavier Watts. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick52 Rnd2 Bradyn Swinson
Bradyn Swinson in Round 2, Pick 20 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick82 Rnd3 Cameron Williams
Cameron Williams slipping to the 82nd overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick85 Rnd3 Danny Stutsman
No edge and no loss on Danny Stutsman in the 85th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick92 Rnd3 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe at pick 92 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick97 Rnd3 Dylan Fairchild
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Dylan Fairchild. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick137 Rnd4 Brashard Smith
No drama and no debate, Brashard Smith went about where he belonged in slot 137. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick172 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
Chase Lundt at the Round 5 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick175 Rnd5 Quincy Riley
Quincy Riley at No. 175 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick206 Rnd6 Caleb Ransaw
Caleb Ransaw in the 206th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick223 Rnd7 Cam Horsley
Value said wait; Cam Horsley in the 223rd overall pick says they were not listening. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick234 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
They paid sticker price for Isaac TeSlaa in slot 234, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick237 Rnd7 Jackson Hawes
They reached into another round for Jackson Hawes, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick250 Rnd7 Teddye Buchanan
They took Teddye Buchanan at par in pick 250, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
