A solid, sensible weekend for the Panthers: B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Panthers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to linebacker, which was the need that mattered most.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Newton. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. The back end got a real overhaul.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
