Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
B-

TradesC+
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Ravens a B-. The Ravens spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Trente Jones, the No. 194 name on the board, in Round 6, Pick 43. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Reaching for Worthy left real value on the table behind him. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Xavier Worthy
In No. 30 they get a true top target, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
Pick70
Rnd3
Kingsley Suamataia
The board had Kingsley Suamataia higher than the 70th overall pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick93
Rnd3
Cam Hart
They took Cam Hart at par in pick 93, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick113
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray at pick No. 113 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick130
Rnd4
McKinnley Jackson
Fair-plus on McKinnley Jackson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick165
Rnd5
Layden Robinson
The board had cheaper options than Layden Robinson at the 165th overall pick, and it noticed. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick218
Rnd6
Trente Jones
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Trente Jones in No. 218, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick228
Rnd7
Frank Gore Jr.
Frank Gore Jr. in slot 228 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick250
Rnd7
Richard Jibunor
A big swing on Richard Jibunor at Round 7, Pick 30, well ahead of any board in the building. It does not line up with the team's obvious holes.
