Larceny in pick No. 217 lands the Packers a B, Jones and all.

Somebody in pick 217 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Jarrian Jones, the No. 123 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B.

If Wright pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
