A solid, sensible weekend for the Ravens: B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Ravens spent pick 183 on Jabbar Muhammad, a name most had 54 spots down the list.

The Campbell steal is the beam this whole class leans on. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Malaki Starks
In No. 27 they get an enforcer at safety. Need was not the driver here.
Pick59 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell at pick No. 59 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick91 Rnd3 Tai Felton
Tai Felton at the 91st overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick129 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
They read the board right and Emery Jones Jr. was the payoff at Round 4, Pick 27. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick136 Rnd4 Sai'vion Jones
By-the-book stuff, Sai'vion Jones at slot 136 squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Pick176 Rnd5 Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II in the 176th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick183 Rnd6 Jabbar Muhammad
A big swing on Jabbar Muhammad at pick No. 183, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick203 Rnd6 Luke Lachey
No edge and no loss on Luke Lachey in Round 6, Pick 27; it is a wash and a sensible one. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick210 Rnd6 Caleb Rogers
The board had Caleb Rogers higher than the 210th overall pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick212 Rnd6 Kobe Hudson
Kobe Hudson in the 212th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick243 Rnd7 Ty Hamilton
Ty Hamilton in No. 243 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
