The 49ers won the night they stopped Jordan from sliding. Grade: D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The 49ers shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Jordan. Every board in the league had McCaffrey lower, and that gap is the story.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.

Chop Robinson at No. 38 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. It patches a soft spot without any drama.

Chris Braswell in Round 2, Pick 31 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
