Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB+
A masterclass at the trade table lands the Cardinals a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Cardinals should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

It is not that Abrams-Draine is a bad player; it is that the Cardinals had louder needs to answer first. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In Round 1, Pick 8 they get a cornerstone up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick27 Rnd1 Kamari Lassiter
In the 27th overall pick they get an island corner at fair value. More want than need.
Pick35 Rnd2 Bralen Trice
Bralen Trice in pick 35 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick38 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
The board had cheaper options than Jackson Powers-Johnson at pick No. 38, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick71 Rnd3 Johnny Wilson
They took Johnny Wilson at par in No. 71, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick74 Rnd3 Roman Wilson
They paid a round early for Roman Wilson in the Round 3 slot, more than the board wanted. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick90 Rnd3 Michael Hall Jr.
No edge and no loss on Michael Hall Jr. in the 90th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick105 Rnd4 Leonard Taylor III
No drama and no debate, Leonard Taylor III went about where he belonged in slot 105. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick110 Rnd4 Kris Abrams-Draine
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Kris Abrams-Draine adds a cornerback and leaves quarterback, running back and other spots untouched.
