You build a draft on nights like this. Cooper DeJean had no business being available in slot 88, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. The phones were where this weekend was really won. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
