Seaswirl61 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueB-

TradesB+
FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Seahawks. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Seahawks reached some 105 spots for Jasheen Davis, and value like that does not grow back. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
However the rest shakes out, Bowman Jr. at that price is a win they earned. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Tyler Booker
In the 27th pick they get a long-term starter on the line, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick51
Rnd2
Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton in Round 2, Pick 19 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick59
Rnd2
Jonah Savaiinaea
Value with a capital V on Jonah Savaiinaea in slot 59, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick82
Rnd3
Jake Majors
Jake Majors at the 82nd overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick121
Rnd4
Tyler Shough
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Tyler Shough well ahead of where he belonged. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick128
Rnd4
Nazir Stackhouse
Value said wait; Nazir Stackhouse in pick 128 says they were not listening. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick136
Rnd4
Savion Williams
Steal is underselling it; Savion Williams at the 136th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick137
Rnd4
Jermari Harris
A cornerback of that caliber at pick No. 137 is the definition of value, full stop. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick173
Rnd5
Billy Bowman Jr.
Billy Bowman Jr. at the Round 5 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick187
Rnd6
Donovan Smith
A wild overpay on Donovan Smith in No. 187, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It fills a real need, too.
Pick212
Rnd6
Trevor Etienne
Trevor Etienne in slot 212 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick236
Rnd7
Jasheen Davis
They talked themselves into Jasheen Davis at Round 7, Pick 18, and the board did not agree. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
