Seth DRAFTING FOR THEFalcons
Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall
B-
ValueC+

FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Falcons: B-. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Falcons left offensive lineman untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
They are betting Arnold proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
In the 29th overall pick they get juice off the edge. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
They took Jalon Walker at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick130
Rnd4
Jihaad Campbell
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jihaad Campbell. The roster fit checks out.
Pick219
Rnd7
Akili Arnold
Akili Arnold in pick No. 219 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
