The Chargers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Cam Skattebo, the No. 105 name on the board, in the Round 6 slot. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They are betting Mertz proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
