The Chargers went off the board in a big way for Jasheen Davis, 140 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

The Sampson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The veteran additions, Drake London chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
