They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Gabe Hall, 43 picks early at Round 6, Pick 3.

It is not that Paul is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first. That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That Polk pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
