The Broncos worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Broncos took AJ Barner a full 38 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The McCaffrey steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The Broncos paired the rookies with proven help, Ted Karras leading the way.

They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
