The Cowboys kept it disciplined and banked a B-. Priorities are a choice, and the Cowboys made a strange one, taking T.J. Parker at edge rusher in No. 20 with wide receiver, cornerback and other spots crying out for the pick instead. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
David Bailey
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher. Need was not the driver here.
Pick20
Rnd1
T.J. Parker
A want over a need in the Round 1 slot: T.J. Parker adds an edge rusher while wide receiver, cornerback and other spots keeps waiting.
