Of all the ways to open, the Steelers chose the head-scratcher, spending the 126th pick on Roger Rosengarten with quarterback, edge rusher and other spots still wide open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, Smith at that price is a win they earned.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
