The Steelers let Devonshire fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

When a board-topper like M.J. Devonshire slides to the 215th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Steelers did not. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Goncalves pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots.

If Goncalves pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
