Of all the ways to open, the Steelers chose the head-scratcher, spending slot 118 on Javon Foster with quarterback, edge rusher and other spots still wide open.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Getting Jackson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
