The steal of the weekend belongs to the Ravens and Alexander: B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Ravens were there to profit. Darius Alexander, the No. 93 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 136.

Reaching for Williams left real value on the table behind him. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Mike Green
In pick No. 27 they get a problem off the edge at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick59 Rnd2 Benjamin Morrison
Benjamin Morrison in the Round 2 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Danny Stutsman
Good price on Danny Stutsman in the 91st pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick129 Rnd4 Kevin Winston Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Kevin Winston Jr. at pick 129 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick136 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
Darius Alexander in slot 136 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick176 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
No edge and no loss on Dont'e Thornton Jr. in No. 176; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Pick183 Rnd6 Connor Colby
Connor Colby in the 183rd overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick203 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Oronde Gadsden II at Round 6, Pick 27. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick210 Rnd6 John Williams
This one needs a full-page explanation: John Williams in slot 210, miles early. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick212 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
A slide stopped in pick No. 212, with Jay Higgins worth more than the price. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick243 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa in the 243rd overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
