Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bears spent slot 116 on Tyler Baron, a name most had 38 spots down the list. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. However the rest shakes out, Styles at that price is a win they earned. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
