The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bears spent the 250th pick on David Ugwoegbu, a name most had 79 spots down the list. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. However the rest shakes out, Smith at that price is a win they earned. So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
