BLESSEDBYGOD22 DRAFTING FOR THEBroncos
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall
B
ValueA-
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Broncos robbed the room for Williams. Final grade: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Kyle Williams had no business being available in pick 197, and the Broncos did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Ashton Jeanty
In pick No. 20 they get a featured back, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick51
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick85
Rnd3
Charles Grant
They paid sticker price for Charles Grant in Round 3, Pick 21, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick122
Rnd4
Terrance Ferguson
Terrance Ferguson slipping to the 122nd pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick191
Rnd6
CJ West
CJ West in slot 191 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick197
Rnd6
Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams in pick 197 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick208
Rnd6
Jason Marshall Jr.
Nothing to complain about; Jason Marshall Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
