The Lions worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Lions took Dasan McCullough at No. 213, roughly 110 spots before his name belonged. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Wagner. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety.

The veteran additions, Trevor Penning chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Sonny Styles and all.
