There is conviction, and then there is this. The Chiefs took Taulia Tagovailoa a full 45 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Pritchett. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Adding Mike Evans by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
