Bird Gang DRAFTING FOR THEEagles

Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
D

FutureB-
The Eagles lost the trade table, and the D tells the story. The Eagles torched the value chart for Davin Vann, taking him 97 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.
Mullings at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In the 32nd pick they get a red-zone target to build around, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jalon Walker at the 33rd overall pick is the proof. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick35
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Value with a capital V on Nick Emmanwori in pick No. 35, a genuine coup. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick96
Rnd3
Ozzy Trapilo
They read the board right and Ozzy Trapilo was the payoff at slot 96. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134
Rnd4
Darius Alexander
A tidy little value on Darius Alexander in pick 134, a step better than break-even. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick161
Rnd5
Davin Vann
A real head-scratcher, Davin Vann in No. 161 is miles ahead of his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick164
Rnd5
Nick Nash
Nick Nash in the 164th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick178
Rnd6
Kalel Mullings
The board fumbled Kalel Mullings all the way to pick No. 178, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
