Draft Grade — Bills

FutureC
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bills to a D-. The phones were a trap the Bills kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Every board in the league had Wilson lower, and that gap is the story. The Jackson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Adonai Mitchell
In the 28th pick they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick47
Rnd2
Braden Fiske
No edge and no loss on Braden Fiske in slot 47; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick60
Rnd2
Bralen Trice
Bralen Trice at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick83
Rnd3
Jaden Hicks
Jaden Hicks slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 19 is lovely value for the safety. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick99
Rnd3
Khyree Jackson
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Khyree Jackson at pick 99. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick112
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
They liked Johnny Wilson enough to skip the value, taking him in the 112th overall pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick128
Rnd4
Christian Jones
Christian Jones in No. 128 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick144
Rnd5
Justin Eboigbe
By-the-book stuff, Justin Eboigbe at pick No. 144 squarely in line with his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick154
Rnd5
Marist Liufau
They jumped the gun on Marist Liufau, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick160
Rnd5
Nelson Ceaser
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Nelson Ceaser. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick163
Rnd5
Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in slot 163 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick196
Rnd6
Drake Nugent
The board had cheaper options than Drake Nugent at No. 196, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
