Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-.

The Bills treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 171 on Barryn Sorrell a full 143 spots early. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

However the rest shakes out, Tuten at that price is a win they earned. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In Round 1, Pick 30 they get a disruptive interior force, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
A slide stopped in No. 56, with Xavier Watts worth more than the price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick62 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
A premium they did not need to pay, Maxwell Hairston a notch or two before his time. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick108 Rnd4 Jaylin Noel
Jaylin Noel is a better player than slot 108 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick131 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Joshua Farmer at the Round 4 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick171 Rnd5 Barryn Sorrell
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Barryn Sorrell well ahead of where he belonged. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick175 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at the 175th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick179 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
A tidy bit of business in pick No. 179, where Jack Nelson graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick206 Rnd6 Bhayshul Tuten
Somehow Bhayshul Tuten was still sitting there in pick 206, and they pounced on premier running back value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick208 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the 208th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
